Last week, students Pre K - 6th grade enjoyed a special performance by Opera Saratoga.  They came and performed Katie:  The Strongest of the Strong; composed by Faye Chiao and libretto by Anton Dudley. This opera celebrates women's strength and confidence through the inspiring true story of Austro-American weightlifter Katie Sandwina, a circus strongwoman who defied all expectations in the early 1900's.  Sandwina became a suffragist and helped women get the right to vote.
