Students Learn Math Through Movement

In November, Fort Edward teachers attended a training for Math and Movement, which uses movement to teach math and reading skills and increase physical activity throughout the day. The district was also provided mats that the students Pre K-6th grade are now able to use for lessons. Professional Development Training and mats were provided through a New York State Department of Health grant, Creating Healthy Schools and Communities , held by the Glens Falls Hospital Health Promotion Center.
