Science Student Accepts Observatory Internship

Michaela Higgins was recently accepted into the Dudley Observatory's "rising star internship" program to work alongside scientists, engineers, celebrity scientists, and astrophysicists to raise awareness of the importance of science education. 

The Dudley Observatory is an astronomical observatory located in Schenectady that just so happens to be one of the oldest observatories in the United States! 

Michaela will use this opportunity give back to the Fort Edward community once she has completed the program and finishes building a telescope provided through the internship.

This program is extremely competitive and only 10-13 people are accepted every year. She will begin this program on August 14th. We are very proud of her accomplishment! Click the link below for more information on this highly competitive the internship:
